The Healdsburg Guitar Festival is the world's premier exposition of hand made acoustic guitars. Over 130 of the world's finest luthiers will be on hand to show, sell and talk about their magnificent creations. The presence of these guitar builders showing their finest work and sharing their techniques attracts the best performers, all also sharing their skill and talent by teaching a workshop for other guitarists.

Beautiful instruments the breadth and depth of which have never graced even the finest museum or music store are on display for you to see, play, buy or commission.

At the Healdsburg Guitar Festival, the worlds foremost guitar builders gather to display their craft, enjoy each others company, and develop relationships that will serve potential clients.

Seminars

At each festival we present a series of lectures for our luthiers - and those who want to learn more about the luthiers art and career. This year there will be seminars in (1)soundboard voicing (2)Customer relations for the professional luthier. These seminar topics are typical of the depth and sophistication reflected in the hundreds of custom instruments on display.

Constant Concerts in Two Free Venues

Daily Demonstration Concerts and the Carston Cabaret.

You don't need to be a guitar aficionado to enjoy these daily concerts, which are free with your exhibition pass. The stated purpose of the "demonstration concerts" is to present the nuances of a particular luthiers work, but the guitar players themselves are always excellent and they choose music that you can, literally, listen to all day.

Also, the festival workshop instructors -each a sought after performer in his/her own right - will tease and please with short samples of their talent in the Carston Cabaret. Watch for special guests!

Workshops By The Dozen

There are 2 dozen workshops for guitar players, everything from learning to accompany a children’s song for those who can’t play at all, to one of the advanced courses in fingerstyle or composition theory. These classes are conducted by all those who perform at the festival as well as additional professionals.
